Process Solutions for Structure and Cost Optimization

In the manufacturing sector, the final presentation of every product is inseparable from the process adaptation and functional realization of hardware structural parts. Designers outline the blueprint of a product’s appearance and define dimensional standards. Structural engineers then take this as the core, breaking down part processes, refining production workflows, and precisely controlling dimensional tolerances and component fit relationships, transforming design concepts into actionable production plans. Design is the soul of a product, while structural process is the key carrier that materializes that soul. Even the slightest difference in process details directly determines the ultimate achievement of product design goals.

With 26 years of deep expertise in the field of custom hardware structural parts, Yusheng Hardware has always been guided by customer design requirements, building a full-chain service system from solution analysis and process breakdown to lean manufacturing and worry-free delivery. We integrate professional hardware process capabilities throughout the entire collaboration, ensuring every customization need is solidly realized, forging high-quality hardware structural part products for our clients.

In-Depth Requirement Communication: Understanding Core Customer Needs

The prerequisite for precise customization begins with a deep interpretation of requirements. When a client presents a product need, Yusheng engineers respond immediately, initiating a one-on-one dedicated communication mode. We go beyond listening to the customer’s stated appearance requirements, delving deeper to dissect product functionality and part composition. By combining the product’s actual application scenarios and performance requirements, we translate abstract needs into actionable process solutions. Simultaneously, we conduct comprehensive analysis around three core dimensions: structural stability, process feasibility, and cost optimization, tailoring the optimal hardware structural part process solution that balances quality and cost-effectiveness for the customer.

For example, we customized a solid conical external thread iron rod weighing 1.1 KG for a European lighting company. The product required a powder-coated surface, and the external thread mating area must have a coating to prevent rust. The parts were to be shipped in separate packaging with absolutely no rust allowed. The previous supplier used an integrated lathe machining and overall spraying process, often resulting in the external thread failing to screw into the tube during assembly, leading to high rework rates during inspection and severely impacting delivery efficiency.

After Yusheng took on this project and understood the client’s pain points, we implemented a revolutionary optimization of the process solution: the part was split into three sections: the main rod and two thread mating areas. The appearance surface of the main rod retained the spraying process to meet aesthetic needs, while the thread mating areas and conical sections were separately machined via lathe and treated with an electroplating process. This ensured rust prevention for exposed surfaces while guaranteeing thread mating precision. The principle behind this lies in a deep understanding of the two different surface treatment processes: spraying and electroplating.

After the three parts were connected via threads, it not only completely solved the industry-wide problem of difficult assembly but also achieved bidirectional optimization in both functional performance and production costs, perfectly meeting the dual demands for product quality and efficiency.

Yusheng will continue to frequently share various structural cases, exploring interesting structural technologies together with peers and industry experts. Thank you!
